45 social rental homes in apartment buildings + 1 residents’ common room
Located in La Plaine des Palmistes, in a residential area, the “Terrain Nelson” residence has 45 apartments on a large 7,426 m² site. It consists of six two-storey buildings with attic floors, set parallel to the contour lines to limit earthworks. They step down the plot to adapt to the steep slope of the site. A car park platform sits between two buildings, linking the parking areas to the levels of the homes.

The overall massing was meant to be very clear and simple, while keeping a traditional form so that the buildings fit into the neighbourhood.
